Description

What is Fragrance?

Fragrance: This is a perfume material that is used to perfume cosmetic and self-care products. It helps to make the end product complete and more pleasurable to use as well. It is usually added to shampoo, body wash, face wash, lotion, cream, liquid soap, and hair care products.

The Reason Fragrance is Used by Formulators

  • Better Product Feel: The pleasant scent will make the product seem cleaner as well as fresher, and will be pleasant to the user.
  • Helps Product Identity: One of the perfumes can help your product line to be memorable and valuable.
  • Employment in Multiple Goods: Fragrance can be used in the form of a wash-off and leave-on product, depending on the formula and test.
  • Low Use Level: It needs very little, and, thus, it can be manipulated into numerous formulas.

How to Use

Handling Note:

Use perfume during the recovery phase. Do not put it on a very hot batch. When not in use, close the bottle. A solubiliser or stable base system can be required in water-based products.

Product Type Level of Usage

Product TypeFragrance in Formula by Weight
Shampoo0.3 percent to 1.0 percent
Body Wash / Shower Gel0.3 percent to 1.0 percent
Liquid Hand Wash0.3 percent to 0.8 percent
Face Wash0.1 percent to 0.5 percent
Lotion / Cream0.2 percent to 0.8 percent
Liquid Soap0.5 percent to 1.5 percent
Hair Oil / Hair Serum0.2 percent to 0.8 percent

Target pH

The pH is not established by fragrance. Maintain the normal pH in your finished product base. Once the pH is brought to add fragrance, the end aroma, colour, clarity, and stability are checked.

Formulation Build Order

  1. Establish the main foundation.
  2. Equalise the batch to an approximate pH.
  3. Reduce the batch to less than 40 degrees.
  4. Add the volatile gradually.
  5. A water-based system needs a suitable solubiliser when the need arises.
  6. Check brightness, colour, viscosity, and smell.
  7. Add fresh and dry bottles and containers.

There is nothing you cannot make out of fragrance:

  • Shampoos
  • Showering gel and body washes
  • Liquid hand washes
  • Face washes
  • Lotions and creams
  • Liquid soaps
  • Hair serums and hair oils
  • Other personal care products

FAQs

Q: Is it possible to introduce fragrance to water?
A: Usually no. Most of the water-based products are in need of a solubiliser or a stable base system.

Q: What does it mean when I add fragrance to the formula?
A: It must be included in the cooling-down phase, traditionally, under 40 degrees.

Q: Does perfume change the colour or clarity of my product?
A: Yes, perfumes can have an impact on either colour or clarity. Always do not begin with a big job.

Q: Is it possible to apply the same perfume in shampoo and in a lotion?
A: Yes, many, many, but you have to feel out the foundations, and then they are clear and firm.

Q: Do we have COA?
A: Yes. Minimum order on request, no minimum order pressure, and shipment on the same day.
